內容簡介: 博客來書店 Maggie Tulliver, impulsive and imaginative, lives in a small English village with her family. She loves her brother deeply, but he does not understand her, so she befriends a boy who her brother disapproves of, leading to tragic consequences. ‘Penguin Readers‘ is a series of simplified novels, film novelizations and original titles that introduce students at all levels to the pleasures of reading in English. Originally designed for teaching English as a foreign language, the series' combination of high interest level and low reading age makes it suitable for both English-speaking teenagers with limited reading skills and students of English as a second language. Many titles in the series also provide access to the pre-20th century literature strands of the National Curriculum English Orders. ‘Penguin Readers‘ are graded at seven levels of difficulty, from ‘Easystarts‘ with a 200-word vocabulary, to Level 6 (Advanced) with a 3000-word vocabulary. In addition, titles fall into one of three sub-categories: ‘Contemporary‘, ‘Classics‘ or ‘Originals‘. At the end of each book there is a section of enjoyable exercises focusing on vocabulary building, comprehension, discussion and writing. 颱風農損逾億 香蕉文旦最嚴重

農委會初步統計，颱風蘇迪勒自7日晚來襲，造成農林漁牧業產物及民間設施初估損失新台幣1億4334萬元，作物以香蕉、文旦柚等受損最嚴重，縣市以花蓮市近9000萬元最重。

農委會首度公布，自7日到8日下午2時，初步彙整全國受颱風蘇迪勒影響，「農產損失」金額8587萬元，農作物被害面積1832公頃，損害程度22%，換算無收穫面積402公頃。

農產當中的受損作物主要是香蕉，被害面積382公頃，損失金額2654.1萬元，其次分別為文旦柚296公頃，損失金額1424.3萬元，其他龍鬚菜、芋、木瓜等損失金額數百萬元不等。

畜產損失初估金額11萬元，主要是雞、鵝受損。林產損失初估金額4037萬元，主要是林木受損。民間設施損失初估金額1699萬元，主要是桃園市農業設施損失1620萬元。

各地回報受損情況來說，農委會統計，目前以花蓮縣損失8704萬元較嚴重、占61%，桃園市損失1840萬元、占13%居次，其他包含新北市損失964萬元、占7%，南投縣損失755萬元、占5%，苗栗縣損失731萬元、占5%。
